During the day, I go urban exploration and take photos. During the night, I go to rooftops to see the magnificence of the city. A Hong Kong based rooftopper was introduced to me by a Korean based Canadian urbexer in Jan 2013. Since then, we influence each other- I take the rooftopper to abandonments and he takes me to rooftops.

Hong Kong has a very dense population and highly concentrated skyscrapers, which shines like a pearl in the evening, and with the strong economic development, Hong Kong earns the name "the Pearl of East". The night scene of the city is unique and striking. One should not miss it! Besides going to the peak to look at Victoria Habour, I recommend going to rooftops to appreciate the city from a special angle.

When I was a kid, I already went up to the rooftops of my building all the time, also the one of my secondary school. But they were not high enough. I consider the rooftopping in Tsim Sha Tsui in Jan 2013 my first ever rooftopping experience. It was conformable, quiet and peaceful, while on the contrast, the street was busy and crowded. I like extremes existing at the same time.

It is a great chance for me to overcome acrophobia!
